Grower’s Workshop: Seed Collection and Late Summer Sowing

Collecting your own seed is an economical and reliable way of sourcing propagation material for your cut flower patch. It’s incredibly enjoyable too!
During this workshop:
• We will wander the fields looking at plants, showing you when their seed is ripe and ready for harvest
• You will collect your own selection of seeds
• You will then be shown how to clean, package and store samples to maintain viability
• We will discuss which plants are best raised from seed
• You will learn about autumn sowing of hardy annuals
We will provide all materials, necessary tools and homemade refreshments throughout the course.
