On this workshop, you will learn how to:
• Assess your site for its growing suitability
• Plan the layout of your site and what infrastructure, such a greenhouses and raised beds, you may wish to consider
• Prepare and condition soil
• Select your plants, bearing in mind your site facilities and growing conditions
• Plan succession planting for continuity of flowers throughout the growing season
• Irrigate your site
• Control weeds, pests and mildew
• Establish a feeding regime with respect to different plants
• Provide plant support and weather protection, where relevant
A homemade lunch will be served and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
